Burn Rehabilitation: Neck Exercises and Stretching
Burned skin heals very tightly. Stretching and exercises are important to maintain movement as you heal. All exercises should be done slowly and smoothly. Hold position for 5-10 seconds.

Look up at the ceiling, hold, then return to start. To increase the stretch, keep your lips and teeth touching.

Gently bring your ear to your shoulder. To increase the stretch, use your hand to bring your head further down. Repeat on the other side. |
Rotation

Neck and Chest Stretch

Turn your head slowly to look over your left shoulder, then turn to look over your right shoulder. To increase the stretch, push your chin with your hand. |

Hold your fingers behind your back and squeeze your shoulder blades together. Slowly raise your arms. To increase the stretch, look up at the ceiling.
